Welcome new residents!
There are a couple of things that are good to know when moving into our neighborhood.
Trash
Trash is picked up by private contractors and must be contracted by the homeowner. Currently, GFL Environmental (410-457-0404), Bartenfelder (410-457-5550), and Harford County Trash Services (443-841-6253) provide services to our residents. They may offer a number of plans that include 1 or 2 days a week pickup, as well as a smaller can for smaller households. Speaking of cans, make sure you ask for a recycling can when you sign up! Recycling here is single stream so you can put your papers, cans, and bottles all together in the same bin.

Water
Water service is only provided through Maryland American Water (1-866-641-2131).
Sewer/Septic
Don't forget that most of the homes in our community are on a septic system, even though we are on "city" water. Make sure you have your septic system cleaned out regularly!
Electricity and Natural Gas
BG&E (Baltimore Gas & Electric, 800-685-0123) services the electricity and natural in our area. However, they are not the only supplier. See the BG&E Choice website or the MD State Consumer Corner which lists all currently participating Electricty/Gas suppliers.
Don't forget the power outage number - 877-778-2222. Alternatively, you can text 'OUT' to 69243.
Phone/Television/Internet
Both Verizon Fios and Comcast (XFinity is the same company) service our area for phone/television/internet. Of course satellite service is available, just be sure to check for obstructions - we have a lot of trees!
Deer Issues
Please do not feed the deer. See the link for more information.
Neighbors
Finally, we are a friendly group of people in Glenwood. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anyone! There's always folks walking dogs, or running, or working on their lawn that would be happy to meet a new neighbor. Welcome!
